World War II era U.S. Coast Guard enlisted man’s blue wool flat hat & gloves.

Also known as a “Donald Duck hat” or “pancake hat”.

L•Era: World War II (circa 1940s). 

•Material: Dark blue wool with a black ribbon. 

•Features: Features “U.S. COAST GUARD” embroidered in gold lettering on the front ribbon. 

•Context: These hats were typically worn with the enlisted dress blue uniform.

•Some moth holes (see pics) typical for a vintage wool hat.

•Complete box, with hat tray & cardboard insert.  Extremely worn, but complete & lettering is bold &  legible.
