Vintage Marine mooring bitt

Nickle over solid bronze

1940’s-1960’s era

Also commonly called a cross bollard, Samson post or post cleat.

This is an ultra-heavy-duty mooring bitt, it is very likely a vintage Perko (Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Corp.) or Wilcox-Crittenden heavy mooring bitt designed for classic vessels over 50 feet or historical military/tug applications.

As found condition, I believe these came off the same vessel.

Both have been mounted / used at some point in time.  Neither has any damage, no dings or dents, just ocean washed.

Should polish up nicely.
