Cruisers boat steering wheel / center cap & hub assy. 1950’s

This item is a vintage Cruisers Inc. boat steering wheel hub or spinner, featuring chrome plating and a marbled plastic/bakelite central insert.

•Brand: Cruisers Incorporated. 

•Material: Chrome-plated metal and faux marble plastic. 

•Usage: Primarily used on vintage Cruisers brand boats from the mid-20th century. 

•Condition: The item shows signs of age, including potential pitting on the chrome and wear on the wheel (see pics).

The Cruiser’s chrome plated metal cap has some pitting and due to the wheels age & the center part of the wheel has become somewhat “oval”.  The cap won’t slide right in as should, the cap needs to be forced down into the center part of the wheel or some material needs to be sanded off / or take a Dremel ball and remove some of the plastic/Bakelite material (see pics).  The center screw (to attach the center cap) is too short, you will need to find a longer one.
