Boat Signal Lantern 

Galvanized metal body with fresnel lens. Keystoneware circa 1900-1950. Handheld oil burning boat signal lantern used to communicate or signal to/from ships and boats at sea. Lifeboats are also equipped with the same.

As found, works as should, glass lens is perfect, no chips or cracks.

Spring shutter opens and closes, oil burner is present with wick.
