Glass Fishnet float
Green 12” with blue & white polymer rope wrapping.
We are not sure on this float.
It looks as though it was possibly machine made, look at the pics, seems to be 2/halves, but on the bottom it looks like the glass blower snaps it off and seals it, with its unique plug……so it could be hand blown? We will leave this one to you to decipher!
This float is in excellent condition, with a shellfish attached to it (see pic) but does have a place in the float where it looks as though it was hit (probably from another float, and a piece of glass “cleaved” off (see pic) there is no other crazing, chips or cracks.
It has been re-wrapped with a polymer rope as the original cotton rope has long since deteriorated.
1940’s-50’s era, Excellent condition!
