10 1/2” clear
The Pittsburgh Corning Corporation produced a two-piece machine-made float. The top and bottom halves were fused together in the middle of the float, and finished with a distinct band-like 1 1/8th inch seal (see pics)They were made using a very high quality clear glass, and because of the cost to produce them, were made in limited quantities.
We were lucky to find one in a collection we purchased years ago, this piece is in excellent condition, no crazing, chips or cracks.
This float has been re-wrapped with a polymer rope, as the original cotton wrapping has long since deteriorated.
1940’s-50’s era, Excellent condition!
